This policy explains what GoCodingNow (“we”) collects when you use the Life24: Family Tasks & Safety app and website, why, who can see it and how to delete it. **The short version.** Your location is shared only with the family circle you join. We keep location history for 30 days. We do not show ads, and we never sell your data. You can pause sharing or [delete your account](https://life24.gocodingnow.com/delete-account) at any time. ## 1\. What we collect ### Account - **Email address and name**, when you sign up with email or through Apple or Google sign-in. - **Password**, stored only as a secure hash, if you sign up with email. - With Apple or Google sign-in we receive the identifier, name and email those providers share. We do not receive your Apple or Google password. ### Location - **Precise location** (latitude, longitude, accuracy, speed and heading), together with your device’s battery level and charging state, while location sharing is on. - With the “Always” (iOS) or “Allow all the time” (Android) permission, location is also collected **in the background**, when the app is closed, so your family can see where you are and place alerts work. Without that permission, sharing only works while the app is open. - Your **latest location** is what the family map shows. A thinned **trail** of recent fixes is kept for 30 days for the timeline, then deleted automatically. ### Family content - **Circle**: its name, invite code and members. - **Places** you save (name, type, coordinates and radius), and the arrivals and departures detected at them. - **Tasks and pets** you add, including names, notes, assignees and reminders. ### Device - A **push notification token** so we can deliver alerts to your device. It is removed when you sign out. - Basic diagnostics (app version, OS, crash reports) that the app stores and the operating system may share with us. ## 2\. How we use it - To show your location and status to the members of your family circle. - To detect arrivals and departures at saved places and notify your family. - To run shared tasks, reminders and pet profiles. - To send account emails such as verification codes and password resets. - To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems. We do **not** use your data for advertising, build profiles for marketing, or sell or rent it to anyone. ## 3\. Who can see your data - **Your family circle.** Members of the circle you join can see your latest location, trail, battery, place events, tasks and pets while your sharing is on. Nothing is stored or shown while sharing is paused. - **No one else.** There are no public profiles, and people outside your circle cannot find or see you. ## 4\. Service providers We rely on a small number of providers who process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments: Provider Purpose Data Convex Database and backend hosting All account and family data Resend Transactional email Email address, verification codes Apple (Sign in with Apple, APNs, MapKit) Sign-in, push delivery, maps on iOS Sign-in identifiers, push tokens, map requests Google (Google Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging) Sign-in, push delivery on Android Sign-in identifiers, push tokens OpenFreeMap Map tiles on Android Map tile requests (your IP address and the map area viewed) We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the safety of our users and the Service. ## 5\. Retention - Account and circle data: kept until you delete your account. - Latest location: replaced by each new fix; removed when you pause sharing, leave the circle or delete your account. - Location trail and place events: deleted automatically after 30 days. - Push tokens: removed when you sign out or the device reports the token invalid. ## 6\. Your choices and rights - **Permissions.** You control location and notification permissions in your device settings. The app works with reduced features if you deny them. - **Pause sharing.** Turn sharing off at any time from the Family tab. - **Leave a circle.** Leaving removes your location from that circle. - **Delete your account.** See [Delete account](https://life24.gocodingnow.com/delete-account). Deletion removes your account, location data, memberships and content. - **Access, correction and portability.** Email us and we will provide a copy of your data or correct it. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA, UK, California or Vietnam) you may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing and to complain to a supervisory authority. Children Life24 is designed for families, and a parent or guardian may add a child to their circle on a device the parent manages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has created an account without consent, contact [support@gocodingnow.com](mailto:support@gocodingnow.com) and we will delete it. ## 8\. Security Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in sessions are stored in the iOS Keychain and the Android Keystore. Location is only readable by members of your circle. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your device updated. ## 9\. International transfers Our providers may store and process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on standard contractual safeguards for those transfers. ## 10\. Changes to this policy We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. For material changes we will also let you know in the app or by email. ## 11\.
